        • God’s ultimate second chance is his grace, offered to all.
          Here are some Bible verses…
1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
2 Peter 3:9 – The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
John 3:17 – For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Romans 5:8 – But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

        • Todd… This verse is absolutely one of the classic verses about God being a God of second chances (Wish I had included it in my original reply)… It has always been very meaningful to me…To think that a Holy God would see my transgression… know my transgression… and yet love me enough to remove my transgression is absolutely mind-blowing.
          Psalm 103:12
as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.

        • And one more verse about God giving second chances…not just blotting out our transgressions…but not remembering them when he judges us…
Isaiah 43:25 “I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.

          • Thank you so much. I have been doing lots of reading on what you have sent me. I know this is changing my thought process and feel better. I’m also getting and reading your messages. I’m also trying to recover information on how to keep my wife. This information and bible is helping me feel better about myself. I live in Canada and at this time of year it’s very gloomy so moods change if you know I mean

          • Thank you for asking the question. You prompted me to re-read a lot of Bible verses that fired up my faith. As a result of your question, tomorrow’s post is a collection of Bible verses on how our God is the “God of second chances”.
