That’s what I want today.

Where will I find them?

How about the grocery store?

Where in the grocery store, you ask, will I discover the secrets to universal love and total life change?

Simple.

On the covers of the magazines in the checkout line…

Sure enough…The words “Life Changing” jump off the cover of a magazine…

I pick it up and read the rest of the headline…

“Life Changing Haircuts!” it proclaims…

If the magazine says a good haircut will change my life, it must be true… and I’d better leave a bigger tip for the woman who cuts my hair.

I still haven’t found the secret of universal love…

At home, I flip through the TV channels as I put away the groceries…

“They’ll love you when you bring this to their holiday party!” declares the host on a shopping channel…

I’ll be going to a lot of holiday parties.

Maybe I should find out more about this product that guarantees love…

“Oh, yes!” gushes the second host.

“This is the perfect hostess gift!”

The perfect hostess gift?  I’m not good at hostess gifts.  I’m paying full attention now.

“If you are at a party and you have to ‘go’,” says the host, “just spray this first and no one will know!”

The secret to universal love?  Air freshener for the… uh… “facilities”?

(Note to anyone considering inviting me to a holiday party:  I promise not to bring air freshener as a hostess gift!)

Have you ever noticed how many products are sold with the promise of love or life change?

Deep inside, we know none of them will deliver love…

We know none of then will deliver transformation…

But sometimes we buy a product and its promises…

Forgetting there is only one true source of transformation…
