1975!

1975…

In 1975 I listened to that song on the AM radio in my car…

Driving the streets of the big city where I worked…

I didn’t know the changes that were about to happen…

Didn’t know that in 1976, my boss and friend would say to me…

“I just heard about a job opening…”

“It would be a great career move for you…”

I didn’t know I would get the job and move 350 miles…

Didn’t know I would meet the woman who would become my wife…

Didn’t know we would have a daughter…

And grandchildren.

It was 1975…

I didn’t even know what the next year held…

But God knew…

And guided me toward the future He had planned…

One step at a time.

Through the good days since 1975…

Through the bad day since then…

God reminds me…

The only way to approach each new day is though faith…

Faith not in our circumstances…

Faith not in our knowledge or strength…

But faith in God…

Faith for this life and the next …

Faith in things unseen…

“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” –the things God has prepared for those who love him—1 Corinthians 2:9

Faith to live this life to the fullest…

This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

Faith to trust God’s promises…

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Jeremiah 29:11

My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? ³ And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.  John 14:2-3

Faith for this life and the next …

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God…  Ephesians 2:8
