First Step to Overcoming Pride-6 Top Bible Verses …
PLUS an Everyday Story …
Isn’t it beautiful?
What is it, you ask?
And what is beautiful about it?
It’s a patch of asphalt…
But not just any patch of asphalt…
It’s my driveway…
My driveway shoveled clean after a snow storm!
I am proud of my work…
I stand admiring it!
Until I look beyond this tiny patch of asphalt…
Beyond this spot bounded by my pride…
And take in what God has done…
Marvel at the true beauty he has created…
And wonder just how often I am so captivated by my own poor efforts…
That I miss the real splendor and beauty all around me…
The splendor…
The beauty…
The Glory of God himself.
Maybe that’s the first step in overcoming pride …
Looking beyond ourselves….
And focusing on God…
God revealed in the world…
For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made… Romans 1:20
God revealed in His Word…
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 2 Timothy 3:16
God revealed in Jesus…
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. Colossians 1:15
Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things… Hebrews 1:1-2
For when we gaze on God, how can see anything but the smallness of man …
When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? Psalm 8:3-4
And the eternal Glory of God…
To the King of ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. 1 Timothy 1:17

The desire to be wanted and liked, where pride takes, took me for a ride, what a bumpy ride this is.In trying to be good enough, for to be looked upon as someone.
That need to be loved, accepted and approved of, seems to be an innate desire in me at least. As I can only see from my own desires that are first born in me at first birth in flesh and blood. Especially when I was first born , and all the things I saw and heard were oh wow, what a cute little baby.
I was praised, not rejected until I heard NO, do not do that. I got confronted for the first time, NO, Stop, that is not good for you to do.
So I was God to everyone around me, for the most part, in being praised and worshipped as a baby. Until I got told NO!!!!
I hope we are getting the truth of this from this truth I think all go through, and when we get told no! rebellion begins, and so at least I did this looked for a way out of NO!
I learned to behave for the soul purpose to get whatever I wanted, and that be loved and not confronted with NO!
Accepted, Loved and then Forgiven once I realized the sin I have done, holding me accountable not others as have done.
Eph. 1:6,7, 13
That is what is done for us by Son in his death for all. Might be time to seek this out, to know who does just love us all, even as we are.
When that happens one turns to hear, and be clear about No, is from Father that is the best for us, not being whatever one wants to do and not care about others
Selfishness is what Pride taught me. I do not know about others, but for me, my Pride took me on a bumpy ride
Pride being the result of thinking I know, when in truth I don’t, only Father and Son know the two as Won (One) for us to be new in them in their love and mercy given us to do by trust, not by must attitudes of flesh and blood.
Born again comes from father and Son the two as won (One) for us to be one in them to just love all, and not war anymore, being saved, sealed, accepted, and forgiven by Father and Son
Thanks Daddy
And all your children you use to get your message of reconciliation through to us all
