His Beauty is all around us…

Knowing that God creates Beauty leads to questions …

Here are 3 questions…

Question 1:

If God creates beauty …

Why aren’t we all beautiful?

Maybe we are…

…The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”  1 Samuel 16:7

Question 2:

If God creates beauty …

And we are created in his image…

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.    Genesis 1:27

Does He want us to create beauty, too?

In our work?

In our families?

In our churches?

In our communities?

Throughout His world?

Question 3:

If He does want us to create beauty…

Why aren’t we all artists?

How can we create beauty if we are engineers or accountants or fast food workers or factory workers?

By following in the footsteps of God…

By creating beauty as He creates it…

From pure love…

God is love John 4:8

If we are made in God’s image…

We are all artists…

Artists given the blank canvas of our lives …

And the beautiful colors of love with which to fill them…

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.    1 John 4:7-11 

So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.    1 Corinthians 13:13
