Sometimes God Shows Up in a Very Dramatic Way…

Snowy mountain car

Allison sang with the radio as she drove along the expressway.

The sun was bright and it was easy to forget the cold snowy days and icy driving of the last week.

Across town, Robin had just put her kids on the school bus.

She walked to the kitchen counter and started to lift her coffee mug.

Suddenly she set it down.

On the other side of the city, Kelly stepped out of an elevator and moved to the side of the hallway, out of the long line of people hurrying to their offices.

In her car, Allison started to scream…

Robin began to pray…

“Dear God, I don’t know why you want me to pray for Allison, but I’m praying for her right now.  Be with her, God.  Protect her, God.  Keep her safe.”

Kelly was having a hard time breathing. She pictured her best friend Allison.

One silent prayer filled Kelly’s mind…

“Protect Allison, God.  Protect her, God.  Protect her, God”.

“Help me, God” Allison thought as her car spun around and around in the middle of the busy expressway.

With a loud explosion of metal and glass, the car hit the concrete barrier in the middle of the road and shot back across the busy lanes of traffic and into a deep ditch.

As she woke up, paramedics were hurrying Allison into the hospital.

Four hours of x-rays and tests later, Allison left the hospital with a head ache and many bruises, but no serious injuries.

“It’s a miracle,” said the state trooper.  “I don’t know how you missed all those other cars.”

“It’s a miracle,” said the doctor, “that you weren’t seriously hurt”.

Allison called Robin.

“Thank you God”, Robin breathed.

Then Allison called Kelly.

“Thank you God”, whispered Kelly.

Allison was safe, and she and her two friends had witnessed first hand the power and glory of the Lord God Almighty.
