I’ve always been challenged by Romans 12:1:
“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”
Also like Jesus’ invitation in all the gospels:
“If anyone wishes to come after me, he must deny himself, take up his cross and follow me.”
It’s a reminder that to live for God will mean dying to our self in this world
Amen. Dying to self…surrendering everything to Jesus… is one of the most difficult things for me to do.
Hey brother, me too. But all growth in Christ demands it. Thankfully it’s in the hands of the Spirit if we’re willing.
Yes. And every time I think I have surrendered… God shows me one more place where I have not! (Thank you, God!)
