You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.

John 15:1-27
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. …

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. …

Immediately he made the disciples get into the boat and go before him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds. And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone, but the boat by this time was a long way from the land, beaten by the waves, for the wind was against them. And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, “It is a ghost!” and they cried out in fear. …

See, I have set the land before you. Go in and take possession of the land that the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give to them and to their offspring after them.’

Philippians 4:13 helps me have the confidence to journey outside my comfort zone every time I must. Thanks for sharing.
Great verse! I wish I could get to the point where I always remember that since God is with us always and since He is our real strength and comfort… the only way to leave our comfort zone is to leave His will.
I’ve been uncomfortable in my comfort zone ever since Jesus drew me into a relationship with Him. Yet, I cleaveth to the dust! Is my skull really that thick? I know I’m being a fool, I’m mourning over my sin and doing nothing to change it. So here I am, suffering and at wits end, I have had it with the repeats and do overs. Time to pour it ALL into His hands, I’m helpless in my sin and know full well that I can do nothing without Him and I know I can’t have it both ways, this is the beginning of a new chapter, a chapter of breakthrough s and growth. My blinded eyes can now see where I went wrong. Ty Jesus!
You describe the plight of us all. Helpless in our sin, and dependent on Christ alone. Thank you Jesus, indeed.
I noticed that each time I stepped out from my comfort zone, the easier it became. I hold on to God’s promises, and the worst someone can say if I ask if I can pray for them is no. There are to many people living in darkness for us not to step out from that comfort zone. Be blessed Reese, God has you, and only He knows the plans He has for your life.
