Yes, and how to fathom this FEAR of from God, who does not have the same definition of fear as we do. Amazing when we are told to be bold in his love given us where no fear is at any longer
Interesting point about God not having the same definition of fear. Consider this verse: Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil… Anyone who repents of his own sin and evil must first recognize it-and see its contrast to a truly Holy God. In that context, it seems hard to approach a holy God without some level of fear–even when we have faith in God’s mercy and grace. It’s interesting also that the command to fear God persists in the new testament-for instance, 1 Peter 2:17… Honor all men; love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king.
1 John 4:18 tells us Perfect Love, casts out all Fear, Then it states in verse 19, we love because he first loved us.
Wanting to understand this, Father’s definition of love, as his Love in revealed in 1 Cor 13: 4-7. So, what does fear mean to Father for us to fear him?
I do not see Father as a Tyrant, a punisher, for if Father were a sadist, an evil one. Then would not Adam and Eve been punished immediately. Yes they brought on death, by didsobedience? God did not do this, they did it, in unbelief.
Now all Father is asking, asked is::::
Turn from unbelief to belief he does just love you, otherwise why would Son hackers come here to save s through his death unto his being risen where new life is given, for us to stand in thanksgiving and praise all sin taken out of the way today and forever, even though I have sinned.
And Paul tells us all that nothing can separate us from his love to us for, not against us ever.
So I guess all that is left is Hebrews 2:3, How will I, you or anyone else escape, if we take for granted this gifts given us by Son that is risen after his death reconciled us all to himself??????
I see we are not born alive, yet at first birth we sure do appear alive, Yet to Father we are first Boeing as dead. Read it Romans 6
To Fear The LORD is To Me Respecting Him For Who and Whom He Is. He Created Us, We Didn’t Created Him. I’m Blessed To Fear Him, I Personally Know What He Can Do In Me Reading His Words. There Is No Lie In Him, His All About Righteousness. He Doesn’t Want Anyone To Go To HELL. It Is A Choice, I’ts Not A Force, Just Like He Doesn’t Force Us To Love Him, Nor To Obey Him. I Thank You For Sharing The Scriptures With Us. I Never Get Tried Eating What I Feed My Spirit Daily. I do have a Flesh and A Spirit. And The Spirit and Flesh Is Wrestle with One Another. God tells us this. And I believe it. I Know Who’s Winning!! 🙂 God Bless You!!
Excellent thoughts about fearing the LORD!
