45 Bible verses – Why Study the Bible?

When Jesus spoke and taught, He spoke to an audience in which almost everybody had memorized the Torah.

All of it.  Every single word…

Bible They knew it so well, that if He quoted one verse, they immediately knew the verse before it and the verse after it.

I will never memorize the Bible.  (Understatement of the year!)

But how much richer is our understanding of Jesus’ teaching as we read and understand more and more of the Bible?

2 Timothy 3:16-17 

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.
