Christian Devotional-Stories and Bible verses about the presence of God in our lives

A Wandering Mind…

Help. My mind is wandering and I can’t get it back. I can’t stop my mind from wandering today. My attitude seems to be, “Why focus on one thing when you can live in a constant disconnected stream of consciousness?”

Here’s one thought parading through my mind: What’s the difference between the word “everyday” in the title of this blog and the two word phrase “every day”?

Every Day:
God has promised to be with us every day.

“Never will I leave you. Never will I forsake you”. Hebrews 13:4 NIV

Everyday:
Who is that promise aimed at? Just the high and mighty? Kings and princes only?
The Bible says that God does not care about our earthly rank.

Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism.” Acts 10:34 NIV

If God doesn’t show favoritism, then His promise must include everyday people. In fact if God doesn’t show favoritism, then we must all be “everyday people”!

Isn’t it great to be an everyday servant of an every day God?

Gotta go. MY wandering mind is …wandering…
