Is there room in our hearts for God?

Or is the room in our hearts already filled?

Filled with Greed?

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs. 1 Timothy 6:10

Filled with envy and jealousy?

For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. James 3:16

Filled with worldly lusts?

For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world.  1 John 2:16

Filled even with hate?

Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness. 1 John 2:9

Filled until there is no room in our hearts for God…

No room in our hearts for His spirit.

Yet God waits for us to call to Him…

Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10

God waits for us to live by faith in His grace…

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.  Ephesians 2:8-9

Waits for us to give Him our hearts so that He can make them new…

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; Ezekiel 36:26

He places in our hearts a new spirit from which will flow…

…rivers of living water.’” John 7:38

Cascading into a world thirsty for His redemption…

A world hungry for the fruit of His Spirit…

… love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…Galatians 5:22-23
